Join me as I take the plunge – literally (!) – off the 36th floor of the Grand Hyatt Union Square, 360 feet above the ground! Yes, it sounds crazy, but it's all for a cause close to my heart. Outward Bound California's sky-high fundraising event is back, and I'm diving in to support their mission.

Every penny you donate will go towards empowering young individuals from underserved communities, like my own students from Burton High School. I’ve been bringing my students to the ropes course right up the street from Burton at McLaren Park since it opened, and we love it.

Outward Bound California is a nonprofit dedicated to transforming lives through challenge and discovery, provides invaluable opportunities for growth and self-discovery. By immersing themselves in experiential education programs, participants not only unearth their hidden potential but also cultivate resilience, leadership skills, and a spirit of service.

What I love most about Outward Bound California is that they prioritize accessibility, more than half of their students receive scholarships to attend. Without scholarships, Burton students wouldn’t have been able to attend their own transformative journeys.
