Outward Bound California's annual high-rise fundraising event is back!

I was initially approached to simply help promote this fundraiser, but I've set my own fundraising goal of $3K (towards the big goal of $350K) and will participate in rappelling off the 36th floor of the Grand Hyatt Union Square in San Francisco.

Over the past 12 years of working in the outdoor space, I've consistently met Outward Bound participants who praise the effect, both the organization and its people, have had on their lives. To this day, the experiences I share with folks outside shape the person I am. Having access to this opportunity in one's formative years is invaluable. I believe this cause is more than worthy of loads of money, so please help me support Outward Bound California!

Outward Bound California is an educational nonprofit whose mission is to change lives through challenge and discovery. Through experiential education programs in both wilderness and urban settings, Outward Bound helps people discover strength of character, an ability to lead, and a desire to serve.

Outward Bound California targets low-income, traditionally excluded populations from the outdoors industry by providing two in three of their students with a full or partial scholarship to participate in our programs.

All funds raised go towards scholarships and Outward Bound California’s continuing work to support underrepresented communities through experiential leadership programs.

Any amount you can donate will help young people from lower-income communities get outside to challenge themselves and discover that there is more in them than they realize.
