Outward Bound California's annual high-rise fundraising event is back! This year, I can't rappel off the 46th Floor but I am still supporting the cause with all my heart to raise scholarship funds for youth and veterans to participate in life-changing outdoor leadership programs.

Outward Bound California is an educational nonprofit whose mission is to change lives through challenge and discovery. We serve over 3,000 students a year on 10,000 days of programming. Two in three Outward Bound California students receive scholarship support. Our experiential education programs, in both wilderness and urban settings, focus on belonging, reflection, physical engagement and courage, skills needed to find success in today's world.

Through this event we will raise over $250,000 to support scholarships! Every dollar raised empowers students to build leadership skills, an impact that stretches far into the future, building more resilient and compassionate communities.

My son went on the Yosemite Rock Climbing & Hiking Course last summer and I can attest that it changed his life and he can't wait to be on course again. For more information on programs, visit obca.org.
